By working together in partnership, our vision is to empower low-income families in the poorest communities in and around Jhapa and Morang districts to improve their livelihood. The overall goal is to construct low cost houses for the poor people living without any proper facilities by providing customize financial and technical assistance in affordable cost. The houses are constructed in define and environmental friendly model. Samjhauta Nepal is implementing the program with 2 local partners i.e. micro finance institutions one in Jhapa and one in Morang district and 5 village banks in Jhapa. The repayment period of loan is about 33 months and it is back through the partners to us on a regular basis following the guiding principals and monitoring mechanism of the project.

Up to December 2007, a total of 1000 home partners have been identified, NRs. 14880000 loan have been distributed to them, 600 houses have been constructed and 400 houses are under construction.
